  • Art - Radiohead Artist Stanley Donwood 'Work In Progress'
Stanley Donwood, alongside Thom Yorke, has designed the artwork for every single Radiohead album since The Bends. A wild seascape, a distant island, a full moon. Gradually the island grows nearer until we land on a primeval wilderness, rich in vegetation and huge, strange beasts. Time passes and things do not go well for the island. Civilization rises as towers of stone and metal and smoke, choking the undergrowth and the creatures who once moved through it. This is not a happy story and it will not have a happy ending. Working in his distinctive, monochromatic lino-cut style, Stanley Donwood carves out a mesmerizing, stark parable on environmentalism and the history of humankind.
  • Visual 'Small Talks - Jack Coleman'
No one fits the personality of a Dr. Seuss character quite like our friend Jack does. Living in the legendary Hobbit House in Newport Beach, he splits his time between going on surf trips, running operations for 88 Surfboards in the U.S. and capturing surf footage on Super 8. Tune in as he gives us a glimpse of life in Newport Beach and the path that led him to create films that push the boundaries of traditional surfing. Known for films such as The Zone, Groove Move and Secret Sound Underground, Jack Coleman is the purest representation of our “surf everything ride anything” mentality. He zigs when most people zag, and that’s exactly why we love him.

  • 'Have You Seen the Listers?' Full Documentary
‘This Film was constructed from mostly my personal archival footage. Contributing camera operator credits go to; me, my kids, my wife, my friends, mates, pals, random peeps, extended family & calver film crew. The Film was backed by Film Australia, Dogwolf, Trasmission, Madman, a few Private Investors and obviously mostly by me “THE LISTERS” — considering I literally provided 92% of the entire content. HAVE YOU SEEN THE LISTER was edited by Director: Eddie Martin. For the few months that the Film was “in production” i told Eddie that I didn’t care what he wanted to make and for him to just do his thing. As a Filmmaker, Eddie is an artist in his own right. I consciously did not attempt to influence, direct or control the narrative or Eddie’s impression of me or my footage whatsoever. Personally, I would’ve made a different Film. Over the past 3 decades I have accumulated literally hundreds of hours of filming, so really, with that amount of footage, the Film could’ve been chopped up and pieced back together in any number of patterns to ultimately make whatever narrative Eddie wanted. This movie was released in 2017 and was picked up by Netflix where it was viewable until a few years ago. Typically, i was deceived by the producers re contracts, lawyers, managers, hypers etc yadda yadda etc. “THE LISTERS” did not make any $ from this Film…so, like… —you’re welcome— . This is a pretty emotionally driven movie. It’s more about my family life than my art practice (just to let you know). Like I said; I would’ve made a different Film. Either way, despite everyone involved getting paid except for me and my family, it’s an honest documentary to be fair.’

  • Small Talks Thomas Campbell
Thomas is a self-taught painter, sculpture, photographer, and filmmaker who splits his time between his stuff making studio in Bonny Doon, CA and traversing the globe making films. His artworks combine scribbles and scriptures, taking slogans and anecdotes from his unique vocabulary and juxtaposing them with a profound look at human nature. His movement-oriented paintings are as layered with meaning as they are with paint. The works, typically composed of several panels, are free-flowing with wide expressionist swipes of color, bold graphics and intricate renderings of characters and text. His photographs mimic the intensity of the paintings, yet in a more abstract fashion. Campbell has mounted solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Denmark, The Netherlands, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Morocco. In 1999, he completed his first feature length surfing film, The Seedling, and in 2004 released his second, Sprout and his third “The Present” in the spring of 2009. Thomas is also part owner and creative director for a small, independent record label based in Santa Cruz, CA, Galaxia, which has released records by contemporary artists such as Tommy Guerrero, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Peggy Honeywell and The Black Heart Procession. Galaxia was established in 1993. In 2013 Campbell started an new creative platform called UM YEAH ARTS which is a nexus for the making of books and music.

Big up Sky News.’
